Spaghetti Western Between 1960 and 1975, a new trend started in European films. Italian companies increased scale of production and financing films began on a large scale. Therefore, these films began to be called the Italian westerns and Italian spaghetti westerns. These films were called spaghetti western critics. Critic dismissed these films. But there were many fans of this genre. Spaghetti western term came to indicate that the films actually western films made by directors
